helloo! its the last day of the year!
BYE 2004!
HELLO 2005!
as the year draws to a closure, it's always time for reflections...
but oh well, i guess the year 2004 really ended on a bad note eh? with the recent onslaught of the tsunamis and all. the poor holiday-makers, going there to have fun, but ended up encountering such devastating disaster. it swallowed thousands of lives, dashed many hopes, broke up countless families. my heart goes out to all of them; the victims as well as their loved ones and basically all those affected. we really need to keep them in our prayers. (man, i feel that i'm getting holier! haha!)
no countdown this year. quite sad but guess we should all be sensitive to all those affected instead of 'celebrating'? -shrugs- watching all the footage on tv and i cant help but feel grateful that all my friends and family are safe and sound.
2004, hmm. just like every other year, there's bound to be ups and downs. the numerous experiences have really taught me alot. guess we all learn from mistakes. for one thing, i've grown and become a stronger person. i'll also remember all the great friends that i've made this year for they have in one way or another impacted and shaped my life. all the wonderful memories and great feelings. to sum it all up, it's a year of utter joy, fear and hope. besides, it's also time for me to close a chapter of my life and to embark on another. yes, the transition from secondary school to another educational institute.
on a positive side, let's all look forward to next year with new hopes and aspirations once again!
